Awami League celebrates Great Mother Language Day in Lebanon The Lebanon branch of the Central Convening Committee of the Bangladesh Awami League organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of the Great Martyrs and International Mother Language Day in Lebanon. The discussion meeting was held at Haji Restaurant in Daora on Sunday afternoon, February 21 under the overall supervision of Fahmi Golandaj Babel, Member of Parliament for Mymensingh Gafargaon-10 constituency.Dola Mia, the chief convener of the Bangladesh Awami League Central Convening Committee, presided over the discussion program conducted by Tapan Bhowmik, a member of the Lebanon branch. The chief guest was Lutfur Rahman Shyamal, former president of the organization and a prominent businessman. Also present as special guests were joint convener and former senior co-president Sufia Akhter Baby, joint convener and former president Babul Munshi, joint convener Mahabub Alam and joint convener and former co-president Babul Mia.Also present on the occasion were convening committee members Atiqul Islam, Biplob Mia, Farid Bhuiyan, Ershad Mia, Azad Hossain Bhuiyan, Sheikh Jamal, Siraj Mollah, Shefali Islam and Sabuj Dewan.
